From Mourning To Dancing

You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing.
You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy,
that I might sing praises to you and not be silent.
    O L
ORD my God, I will give you thanks forever!

—Psalm 30:11-12 (NLT)

Heavenly Father,

May I never cease to loudly sing Your praises—never let my thanksgiving be silenced—for the great things You have done in my life!

The path I once walked down was leading me to defeat, destruction, and death—as my sin was separating me from You.

I mourned greatly over how I had allowed my sin to make a mess of my life and distance me from You.

You looked on me, saw my repentance and out of Your compassionate and unfailing love for me, forgave me of my sin—by the blood of Your Son, Jesus.

You turned my mourning into joyful dancing—took away my clothes of mourning over my regrettable past and exchanged them for clothes of hopeful joy for the good things You have planned for me—so that I might forever sing praises to You and not be silent.

May I never cease to loudly sing Your praises—never let my thanksgiving be silenced—for the great things You have done in my life!

In the name of Jesus, Amen.
