Resting In Quietness And Confidence

This is what the Sovereign LORD,
the Holy One of Israel, says:
“Only in returning to me
and resting in me will you be saved.
In quietness and confidence is your strength.
But you would have none of it.     —Isaiah 30:15 (NLT)

So the Lord must wait for you to come to him
so he can show you his love and compassion.
For the Lord is a faithful God.
Blessed are those who wait for his help.     —Isaiah 30:18 (NLT)

Sovereign LORD,

May I find my strength renewed as I wait with quiet confidence in You—resting in the assurance of Your love and compassion, and the truth of Your faithfulness to me.

Thank You that, no matter how hard the circumstances that I face may be, I find my salvation in You, when I choose to go to You and wait for Your help.

So may I always be quick to turn to You—to come into Your presence, allow You to quiet my soul, and confidently rest in Your promises—so that my strength is renewed and You can show me Your love and compassion.

And may I always choose to remain in the strength and safety of Your presence and never fall to the temptation to put my hope in anyone or anything other than the power of Your mighty right hand, my Creator and Redeemer.

May I find my strength renewed as I wait with quiet confidence in You—resting in the assurance of Your love and compassion, and the truth of Your faithfulness to me.

In the name of Jesus, Amen.
