In Your Glorious Presence

The trumpeters and singers performed together in unison to praise and give thanks to the LORD. Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals, and other instruments, they raised their voices and praised the Lord with these words:

“He is good!
    His faithful love endures forever!”

At that moment a thick cloud filled the Temple of the LORD.   The priests could not continue their service because of the cloud, for the glorious presence of the LORD filled the Temple of God.

—2 Chronicles 5:13-14 (NLT)

Gracious LORD,

May the thick cloud of Your glorious presence fill the temple of my spirit as I raise my voice in praise and thanks to You!

May there be such a spirit of unity within my own heart and within the hearts my brothers and sisters in Christ, that we would come together as one voice, praising and giving thanks to You—so that Your presence would fill our hearts, our homes, our churches, our nation and even our world.

For in Your perfect presence we find everything that we need—healing for our hurts, strength for our weakness, forgiveness for our sin, humility for our pride, comfort for our sorrows, peace for our turmoil, joy for our sadness, understanding for our confusion, courage for our fear, freedom from our bondage, hope for our future, and wisdom to live obediently in the love of Christ and for His glory.

May the thick cloud of Your glorious presence fill the temple of my spirit as I raise my voice in praise and thanks to You!

In the name of Jesus, Amen.
