Creator God,
Forever may I worship only You. For you are my Creator and You alone are worthy of eternal praise!
Help me never to trade the
truth about You for a lie, in order to satisfy my own self-focused and lustful
desires—but rather help me to stand against the assault of lies that this world
would have me believe, by putting all of my trust in the truth of Your Word.
Help me to see quickly
anytime that I have allowed myself to make an idol—an object of worship—out of something
that You have created and intended for good, but which man has twisted for evil
because of his sin.
Strengthen my resolve to
follow after the truth by giving me great wisdom and discernment, so that I
allow nothing to take Your rightful
place of worship in my heart—and my eternal praise is offered to You alone.
Forever may I worship only You. For you are my Creator and You alone are worthy of eternal praise!
