He came into the very world he created, but the world didn’t recognize him. He came to his own people, and even they rejected him. But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God.--John 1:10-13 (NLT)
Heavenly
Father,
Thank You for revealing Yourself to me and giving me the right to become Your child.
Thank You
that because I believe in Your Son, Jesus, and have accepted the free gift of
salvation that His coming into the world affords everyone who believes, that I
have been given this opportunity to be reborn.
Reborn—not by
means of a natural, physical rebirth, but reborn by a spiritual re-creation of
my heart.
And just as,
by my physical birth, I was granted the right to be called the child of my
father and mother, thank You that it is through that spiritual rebirth that I
was given the right to be called a child of my Heavenly Father.
Help me to
live my life in devotion to those who gave me life—both by means of my physical
birth, but even more so through my spiritual rebirth, in Christ.
Thank You for revealing Yourself to me and giving me the right to become Your child.
In the name
of Jesus, Amen.
