Faithful And Forever Enduring Love

He remembered us in our weakness.
      His faithful love endures forever.
He saved us from our enemies.
     His faithful love endures forever.
He gives food to every living thing.
     His faithful love endures forever.
Give thanks to the God of heaven.
     His faithful love endures forever.

—Psalm 136:23-26 (NLT)

Merciful and Loving Father God,

Thank You for Your faithful and forever enduring love—which is far beyond what I deserve.

Thank You for remembering me in my weakness—for loving me when I was lost in my sin, for wanting me enough to make a way for me to live in right relationship with You, and for giving me Your strength when I find my strength is gone.

Thank You for saving me from those spiritual enemies which wage war against me—sin, death, and even hell itself—by the sacrifice of my Lord and Savior, Jesus.

Thank You for giving me life giving food to eat—but not just food. Thank You that I find in You every good thing I need to live, and grow, and learn, and serve.

I give You all of my thanks and all of my praise, for You are the Great and Glorious Creator of everything that is, and still You invite me to drink from the inexhaustible fountain of Your never ending mercy and love.

Thank You for Your faithful and forever enduring love—which is far beyond what I deserve.

In the name of Jesus, Amen.

In Your Glorious Presence

The trumpeters and singers performed together in unison to praise and give thanks to the LORD. Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals, and other instruments, they raised their voices and praised the Lord with these words:

“He is good!
    His faithful love endures forever!”

At that moment a thick cloud filled the Temple of the LORD.   The priests could not continue their service because of the cloud, for the glorious presence of the LORD filled the Temple of God.

—2 Chronicles 5:13-14 (NLT)

Gracious LORD,

May the thick cloud of Your glorious presence fill the temple of my spirit as I raise my voice in praise and thanks to You!

May there be such a spirit of unity within my own heart and within the hearts my brothers and sisters in Christ, that we would come together as one voice, praising and giving thanks to You—so that Your presence would fill our hearts, our homes, our churches, our nation and even our world.

For in Your perfect presence we find everything that we need—healing for our hurts, strength for our weakness, forgiveness for our sin, humility for our pride, comfort for our sorrows, peace for our turmoil, joy for our sadness, understanding for our confusion, courage for our fear, freedom from our bondage, hope for our future, and wisdom to live obediently in the love of Christ and for His glory.

May the thick cloud of Your glorious presence fill the temple of my spirit as I raise my voice in praise and thanks to You!

In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Songs Of Thanks And Praise

And each morning and evening they stood before the LORD to sing songs of thanks and praise to him.

1 Chronicles 23:30

Heavenly Father,

May the song of my heart and the song on my lips, always be one of thanks and praise to You!

In the morning when I rise, may my first thoughts be thankful ones, raised to You—for You are good and gracious to me and Your merciful, compassionate and unfailing love for me endures forever.

Your love for me is so great that You see beyond my own wants and never fail to provide me with what I really need—so that I might walk in peace, joy, hope, and love, through a right relationship of willing obedience to You.

You complete me—by offering to perfectly fill every empty longing of my heart with Your presence, power and plan, so that I am made whole.

So may I constantly declare who You are in my thoughts, and by my words and actions, joyfully celebrating in praise to You—so the whole world might hear of Your wonderful greatness.

For You are worthy of all the praise, honor and glory I can give.  You are the one and only LORD God Almighty, Creator of everything there that is or ever shall be.  There is none like You.

And in the evening when I return to rest, may my last thoughts before sleep, be thankful ones, raised to You—for You are good and gracious to me and Your merciful, compassionate and unfailing love for me endures forever.

May the song of my heart and the song on my lips, always be one of thanks and praise to You!

In the name of Jesus, Amen.
