Expectantly Waiting For The Lord

I wait for the Lord, I expectantly wait, and in His word do I hope.  I am looking and waiting for the Lord more than watchmen for the morning, I say, more than watchmen for the morning.

—Psalm 130:5-6 (AMP)

Heavenly Father,

I wait for You and confidently place my trust in this hope—that the fulfillment of all of the promises of Your Word is more certain than the rising of the sun each morning.

I wait for You—with even greater expectation than I have for the morning itself to come—confident that You will come to me with relief and comfort, by the power of Your mercy, grace, and love, as I place all of my hope in You.

I wait for You—looking for You to reveal Yourself more fully to me—believing that as I am careful to look, I will see Your hand at work in every moment of my day.

I wait for You—knowing Your plans and purposes for me are good—knowing You will direct my every step, as I submit my will to You.

I wait for You—asking that I might wait with patient expectation, as I long to see that what You have promised—looking to no one else, but making You my only hope.

I wait for You and confidently place my trust in this hope—that the fulfillment of all of the promises of Your Word is more certain than the rising of the sun each morning.

In the name of Jesus, Amen.
