Heavenly Father,
Help me to remember that if I want to do only those things that are pleasing to You, I must begin by fixing my thoughts only on that which is pleasing to You.
In a world filled with
evil, help me seek out the good wherever
I may find it and set my heart and mind on those things.
Renew my mind, so that I
might better filter the thoughts that come through my brain to determine if
they are true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable—and
help me to choose to let only those thoughts which are good remain.
Help me to focus my
thoughts and meditate only on things that are excellent and worthy of praise,
so my emotions will be positively influenced, which will, in turn, positively influence
my behaviors—so that I am more able to please You in everything that I do.
Help me to remember that if I want to do only those things that are pleasing to You, I must begin by fixing my thoughts only on that which is pleasing to You.
