Creator of
Light,
May every word I speak be light and life to those who hear it.
You spoke, “Let
there be light,” and it came into being—forever demonstrating for us the
creative power of Your spoken Word.
Knowing that
You have made me in Your image, may I ever be mindful that my words also
contain a power to create.
Forgive me,
for too often my words have created doubt instead of hope, discouragement
instead of encouragement, hurt instead of healing, and darkness instead of
light.
Just as You
saw that the light was good, help me to speak in such a way that I might see
good things created from the words I speak, to bring glory to You.
May every word I speak be light and life to those who hear it.
