I Know My Redeemer Lives

“But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives,
and he will stand upon the earth at last.
And after my body has decayed,
yet in my body I will see God!
I will see him for myself.
Yes, I will see him with my own eyes.
I am overwhelmed at the thought!”

—Job 19: 25-27 (NLT)

Living God, My Redeemer,

I know that my Redeemer lives—and that it is You who redeems me to the uttermost!

Thank You for giving me the faith to believe that You will one day return and stand upon the earth again to vindicate the sufferings of this life and set all things right—as my personal and risen Redeemer.

Though my body is assaulted and failing, I believe I will yet see You for myself—though death may bring my body to decay in the grave, I will yet see Your redemption come, in my own body, with my own eyes.

How overwhelming is the comfort of this knowledge!  How steadfast is my hope as I remain in this Truth!

I know that my Redeemer lives—and that it is You who redeems me to the uttermost!

In the name of Jesus, Amen.
