The LORD is good to those who depend on him,
to those who search for him.
So it is good to wait quietly
for salvation from the LORD.--Lamentations 3:25-26 (NLT)
Good and Loving LORD,
You have always been faithful to show me Your goodness in the times that I have depended on You the most. So today, I purpose in my heart to trust You completely, to seek after You continuously and to quietly wait for Your salvation.
Remind me of all the ways
that You poured out Your goodness on me in the past—and how, because of Your
goodness, You either delivered me out of each
mess in which I found myself, or sustained me in the midst of it, in order to deliver me through it.
Help me to focus on
searching for more of You in my life, as I keep an ongoing conversation with
You throughout this day—through my love-filled prayers, my heartfelt worship of
You and as I am still and listen for the quiet whisper of Your voice.
Help me to not be anxious
about those things that I don’t—and may never—have all figured out. But rather, help me to remember that my part
is to keep my peace, knowing You are my hope and You will provide for me, protect
me, and save me, because You are my LORD.
You have always been faithful to show me Your goodness in the times that I have depended on You the most. So today, I purpose in my heart to trust You completely, to seek after You continuously and to quietly wait for Your salvation.
In the name of Jesus,
Amen.
